Maintenance Engineer
Will develop and implement equipment reliability initiatives. Assist production to optimize plant productivity and quality. Technical resource for production personnel on plant utilities. Provide troubleshooting and problem solving as needed. Review and optimize the predictive and preventive maintenance programs. Responsible for maintaining the Safety & Health standards, actively participating in employee safety training, hazard prevention and control. Responsible for conducting PSSR's with contractors as necessary.
Implement improvement projects (scope, cost estimation, request capital money, supervision of fieldwork, commissioning). Investigate frequent equipment failures to help identify root cause and implement long-term solutions. Oversee outside contractors as necessary
Engineering degree, Mechanical, MET or related.
A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Relevant industries include chemicals, refining, food ingredients, steel.
Knowledge of industrial maintenance techniques. (PM, PDM, CMMS, RCM, TPM) Knowledge of rotating equipment including compressors, centrifuges, rotary dryers, blowers, dust collectors etc. Previous experience with utilities (steam, water, boilers etc) desired.
Ability to manage budget and to estimate costs related to various projects.
