Project Engineer

A water and wastewater engineering firm, located in the Western Suburbs of Chicago, is seeking to employ a Project Engineer to provide construction management services for clients located in Chicago, IL. The job requires providing construction management services for a project involving grouting and earth work.

• Observe and document quality, quantity, conformance, and progress of work.
• Conduct progress meetings.
• Coordinate and document on-site testing.
• Prepare construction progress documentation.
• Inspect materials delivered to the site to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Prepare project correspondence directed to the Contractor.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
• Use a web-based system to log and keep track of project submittals.
• Review change order requests.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management with 5 to 10 years of experience in water and wastewater or related projects.
• Construction management experience with multi-million-dollar projects.
• Supervision of General Contractor's work.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
