PlantIT Group is hiring! This is a direct hire/FTE for a Transportation Engineer P2 in Chicago, IL for a prominent engineering firm. Transportation Engineer minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• EIT certification preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of relatable experience in transportation engineering, highway design, and local street design.
• Micro Station and Civil 3D experience is preferred.
• Candidates with additional years of experience are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of IDOT, CDOT, municipal and IL Tollway design and standards a plus.

Transportation Engineer responsibilities include:

• Design of highway, municipal, and site development improvements, including roadway elements, site grading, storm drainage, water main distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection systems, and other site or public utilities.
• Preparation of local, state and federal permit applications.
• Identifying and handling compliance with regulatory agencies.
• Collaborating with design staff
