Join our team and you will help provide engineering solutions on major infrastructure improvements across the Midwest for various DOT's, counties, and municipalities.

We are looking for a full-time Phase I Project Manager to join the team!

Responsibilities

This position consists of supervising and performing preliminary engineering studies and preparing project reports for a variety of transportation improvement projects. Clients include the Illinois Department of Transportation, various County Division of Transportations, and Local Agencies. The individual must possess a thorough knowledge of NEPA as well as IDOT/FHWA policies and procedures. The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the work efforts of the staff assigned to one or more projects including, but not limited to, conducting traffic studies, geometric studies, environmental studies, and safety studies.

The Project Manager will report to and coordinate with the Vice President - Roadway. Individual must have the ability to communicate well (verbal and written) and collaborate with other disciplines as well as clients and outside agencies to obtain necessary approvals.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • 10-15 or more years of progressive experience working on IDOT, Illinois Counties, and Illinois Local Agencies transportation projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IDOT standards, procedures, and project delivery process.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining budget, schedule, and quality objectives.
  • Strong communication and client‑service skills, with experience leading meetings and presenting to agency staff, local officials, and the public.
  • Proficiency with roadway design tools such as Micro Station/Open Roads or similar CAD platforms and Microsoft Office for project documentation and reporting.
