Where Is The Work
Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues. Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires.
What you will do- Participate as a team member of a project development team for the development of energy saving construction projects.
- Perform building surveys and audits to identify energy conservation measures (ECMs) for architectural, mechanical, plumbing, lighting, and electrical systems in commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.
- Analyze and document existing building operation.
- Complete utility analysis by quantifying and benchmarking a building’s energy use.
- Review and understand utility rate tariffs.
- Quantify the energy savings for each ECM via a building simulation / energy model or by utilizing spreadsheet calculations.
- Work with local utility companies to secure rebates and incentives for our customers.
- Oversee the measurement and verification of the project’s ECMs.
- Review building automation control systems to validate system performance and provide recommendations for optimization.
- Provide key technical support in pursuit of Trane business, including participation on strategic job acquisition teams.
- Assist and support all efforts of acquisition and customer satisfaction.
- Some travel required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology discipline. Entry level, degreed candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with the operation of Energy Management Systems, Building Automation (BAS) systems, HVAC Systems and/or Temperature Controls preferred.
- Experience in effectively understanding and manipulation of technical information and responding to questions from fellow engineers.
- Experience collecting data, analyzing and presenting data in a clear and accurate manner.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office products and office equipment required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including:
- DUI in the previous 5 years
- Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careful Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
- Ability to clearly communicate and develop relationships with clients and internal team is required
