Job Description

To support growth, world‑class manufacturing and productivity, you manage the detailed planning, development and execution of capital projects, leading technical development, feasibility perspectives on engineering‑related activities within the supply chain, and capital expense project execution meeting the highest levels of quality, safety and environmental requirements.

Responsibilities

Working with key stakeholders, you will define and deliver the capital and technical agenda during the development phase of mid to large capital investment projects so that accurate budgets, plans and fit‑for‑purpose technical solutions are provided. You will develop the capital budget according to the contract and forecast cash flow. In addition, you will ensure that engineering developments and standards are implemented and develop state‑of‑the‑art processes and equipment strategies to optimize resources, harmonize assets and rollout best practices.

You are responsible for managing several capital project executions in parallel and ensuring that the quality and results of capital projects meet Mondelēz standards in business and innovation processes in project management. You manage engineering resources and people development needs.

  • Ability to work effectively across cross‑functional teams and influence key stakeholders
  • Technical expertise across engineering disciplines and high expertise in one or more domains
  • Working across multiple geographical locations and countries
  • Flexibility to travel and manage ambiguity in a global environment
  • Ability to balance technology solutions with capital availability and achieve high savings
  • Experience integrating Lean Six Sigma and IL6S phase requirements into projects
  • Experience in designing equipment to meet AM and PM standards
  • Experience developing robust CAPEX estimates and cash‑flow management
  • Training or mentoring experience
  • Experience with IL6S focus on IIM
  • Expertise in chemical engineering preferred
  • Project Management skills and familiarity with project management software and ERP systems such as SAP

  • Ability to work across multiple geographical locations within the region
  • Flexibility in working location and ability to travel
  • Ability to identify engineering solutions that consider our global network and category position
  • Ability to integrate IL6S phase requirements into projects
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and interpret large amounts of information to support project scope
  • Ability to think outside the box and understand broad category needs
  • Experience working across a matrix organization with complex, culturally diverse responsibilities
Education & Certifications
  • University degree or equivalent further education qualification in a relevant discipline (Chemical Engineering preferred)
  • Proven Project Management skills
  • Fluency with computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Inventor and ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
Job Specific Requirements
  • 8+ years of Project Management, Line Design, and Project Development experience
  • Experience working across multiple countries and regions
  • Training or mentoring experience
  • Experience in IL6S with focus on IIM
  • Experience designing equipment to meet AM and PM standards
  • Experience developing robust CAPEX estimates and cash‑flow management
Travel Requirements

Up to 40% (Domestic and International)

Work Schedule
  • Onsite in Chicago, IL;
    Portland, OR;
    Richmond, VA;
    Indianapolis, IN; or Twin Falls,
  • Monday–Friday core hours; likely required weekend travel for destination meetings
Salary and Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $109,000 to $149,875, depending on experience, skills, education and location. Eligible for a highly competitive bonus program with potential for over achievement based on performance and company results.
