Job Title: Manufacturing Test Engineer

Location: Chicago, IL

Job Type and Duration: On-Site, Direct-Hire

Pay range: $90,000 - $112,000

Job Purpose

The position is responsible for designing and executing the proper test procedures required to introduce new products into production.

Key Job Functions

Act as the key interface between engineering and manufacturing to understand product feature set and test requirements.

Communicate with management and users to develop production test requirements and standards.

Assist in the preparation of final release documentation for product testing to ensure that the ISO company standards are being followed.

Draft test and assembly plans for new production products.

Assist in the drafting and setup of test systems.

Define requirements for workspace and test equipment and other materials for maximum efficiency.

Plan for sequence of operations in assembly and test, striving for continual improvements in efficiencies.

Use Lab View to create and document test procedures for new products.

Trouble shoot electronics and test setups to determine root cause of failures.

Educational Background

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.

Experience

Minimum 3 years in manufacturing test environment.

Specific Skills

Technical writing, organizational skills.
Test experience using Lab View a plus.
Must be hands on engineer capable of troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical equipment.
