A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Rail Bridge Engineer to support the design, rehabilitation, and inspection of rail infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to lead technical efforts, manage projects, and contribute to complex transportation solutions that enhance connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

Perform structural design of rail bridge projects using industry standards
Prepare and review calculations, load ratings, specifications, and construction documents
Conduct quality control and assurance reviews of engineering deliverables
Perform bridge inspections and support field data collection
Lead project delivery, including planning, scheduling, and budget management
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and lead project meetings
Provide updates on project progress, scope, and resource needs
Mentor junior engineers and support team development
Contribute to proposals, client presentations, and business development
Maintain technical expertise through continuous learning and professional engagement
Travel as required to support project needs

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
10+ years of experience in rail or bridge engineering projects
Strong knowledge of rail bridge design standards and structural analysis
Experience with engineering design and modeling software
Familiarity with bridge inspection and rehabilitation practices

Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
Willingness to travel
