Traffic​/Engineer - HYBRID Offices

Overview

AECOM seeks a Traffic or ITS Engineer for a hybrid role across multiple offices in the Greater Midwest and Greater Southwest. The position supports high-profile projects and cross-office collaboration. Candidates are encouraged to apply for discussion if preferred location is not listed.

• Support a team of professionals to deliver traffic analysis, forecasting, safety studies, traffic simulation, and conceptual planning/design.
• Prepare plan sheets, specifications and estimates, technical memoranda, reports, presentations, and other project documentation.
• Contribute to ITS or emerging technology projects following the systems engineering process.
• Serve in various roles on traffic/ITS projects and participate in the production of technical deliverables such as plans, specifications, estimates, reports, and memoranda.
• Review technical work and project documentation with Early in Career staff; deliver assigned tasks on schedule and within budget while adhering to AECOM quality standards.
• Coordinate with other discipline groups within AECOM, external clients, and sub-consultants.
• Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with minimal supervision.
• Independently perform all tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
• Coordinate with Business Development leaders to capture project opportunities.
