Overview

Position: Senior Project Manager – Buildings

The Senior Project Manager coordinates and delivers multiple projects (small to medium in complexity) with financial impact typically between $250K and $7M. The Project Manager has fiscal responsibility for all project facets, including project billing, job cost reporting, and overall customer satisfaction.

• Facilitate the execution of the project/program solution plan for clearly defined sub-projects or sub-programs.
• Be responsible for delivery of results for the respective process steps.
• Guide technical or administrative staff.
• Act as a functional process resource on projects or programs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement plans.
• Maintain functionally focused client relationships and manage several projects of varying size.
• Obtain PM@Siemens certification for C Projects (up to $2.5M).
• Review project specifications, drawings, and project-specific documents to establish project intent.
• Develop and maintain a project schedule; coordinate needs with the project team and identify time-sensitive installation needs.
• Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects.
• Review plans and specifications and participate in project cost reviews.
• Assist Operations Manager in the solicitation and contracting of subcontractors.
• Conduct an orientation for project technicians and provide project documentation (scope of work, drawings, applicable specifications, etc.).
• Track resources and project progress; document events that impact schedule, scope, and efficiency.
• Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities.
• Coordinate and pursue project-specific billing; coordinate with Accounting and Operations Manager.
• Schedule project-specific commissioning resources and provide commissioning documentation.
• Expedite the return of project-specific mark-ups for as-built development.
• Complete project-specific close-out documentation.
• Effectively manage and coordinate subcontractors to meet scope, scheduling, and financial requirements.
• Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and report unsafe conditions and actions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Associate degree
• Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to customers
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
• Verbal and written communication skills in English
• Technical experience in the commercial fire and life safety industry
• 3+ years of experience managing projects
• NICET Level II or higher certification in Fire Alarm Systems preferred
• Knowledgeable of local and national (NFPA) fire alarm codes and regulations
• Must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license; eligible for Siemens fleet vehicle program
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of technical experience in HVAC controls, fire and life safety, or security/CCTV
