Senior Bridge Design Project Engineer VI
AECOM is seeking a candidate for the position of Senior Bridge Design Project Engineer VI in the growing Transportation Engineering Group in Chicago, IL.
Specifics of the role include:
- Coordinates and provides technical expertise for mid- large-size projects.
- Strong emphasis on railway bridge design and deliveries.
- Leads technical client relationships and plays a major role in selling.
- Leads discipline department efforts to grow technical expertise.
- Leads technical business development work.
- Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
- Approves and signs off on work.
- Leader in one or more areas of technology.
- Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large, complex projects.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- A current PE license.
- Ability to pass MVR check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10 + years' experience in bridge design in Ill. and/or the regional and national U.S. bridge design project design deliveries
- Extensive project design experience with railway system bridges and related structures in Ill. or elsewhere in the continental U.S.
- Project management skills
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, including technical report writing.
- Structural problem analysis skills (including knowledge/use of design and calculation tools, software)
- Knowledgeable of standard engineering practices, techniques and applicable Codes.
- Knowledge of current structural modeling software tools
