Electrical Estimator
We are a leading electrical construction recruitment firm with extensive partnerships across the country. With connections to over 575 electrical contractors, we are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join one of our partner firms.
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical projects of varying size and complexity. The successful candidate will play a key role in the bidding process, collaborating with project teams to develop competitive proposals and secure new business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for electrical projects.
- Analyze project requirements and scope to determine material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Obtain quotes and pricing from vendors and subcontractors, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to support the estimating process.
- Prepare and submit bids and proposals in accordance with project deadlines and requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to refine estimates and address project specifications.
- Participate in bid meetings and negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and vendors as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of experience in electrical estimating.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction processes.
- Proficiency in electrical estimating software such as Accubid, McCormick, or Con Est.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret project documents and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimating costs and quantities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred but not required.
