Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its growing MEP Engineering team. This position will work closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality building systems that align with client goals, project budgets, schedules, sustainability objectives, and applicable building codes.

The Mechanical Engineer will be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, including schematic design, design development, construction documents, construction administration, and post-occupancy.

• Perform mechanical engineering analysis, system design, and equipment/system selection for building applications.
• Play an active role in developing BIM models, construction drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop integrated and constructible project solutions.
• Participate in construction administration, including submittal reviews, site observations, and commissioning activities.
• Research mechanical systems, products, building codes, and sustainable design practices to support project decisions.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related accredited engineering program required.
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is a plus.
• 4–8 years of related mechanical engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required for the Engineer title; candidates without a P.E. may be considered for a Designer designation.
• Experience performing engineering analysis, mechanical system design, and system selection for building applications.
• Strong understanding of applicable building codes and project sustainability requirements.
• Experience developing design documentation, including BIM models, drawings, and specifications.
• Experience working through schematic design, design development, construction documents, construction administration, and post-occupancy.
• Ability to coordinate permitting and regulatory documentation with multiple local agencies and jurisdictions.
• Strong ability to collaborate with architecture, engineering, sustainability, construction, and outside consultant teams.
• Ability to communicate technical solutions and performance objectives clearly while considering client goals, budget, schedule, constructability, and project performance.
• Experience conducting research on mechanical systems, products, building codes, and sustainable design practices.
• Experience with construction-phase activities, including submittal review, construction site observations, and commissioning.
