Position SummaryGWx is growing our Mission Critical Engineering team and seeking talented Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineers who want to help design the infrastructure powering the next generation of computing and critical facilities.
Whether your expertise is in mechanical systems, electrical infrastructure, or plumbing systems, you will work alongside experienced multidisciplinary teams to solve complex engineering challenges and deliver high-performance facilities from concept through construction and commissioning.
We are interested in engineers at multiple experience levels who bring strong technical capabilities, curiosity, accountability, and a desire to help shape both exceptional projects and an exceptional engineering firm.
What You'll DoDepending on your discipline and experience, responsibilities may include:
- Design sophisticated mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems for mission-critical facilities
- Develop calculations, equipment selections, specifications, drawings, and construction documents
- Engineer systems for reliability, redundancy, resilience, constructability, maintainability, flexibility, efficiency, and lifecycle performance
- Perform discipline-specific engineering analysis and technical studies
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, owners, contractors, utilities, vendors, and other project stakeholders
- Participate in project planning, design reviews, technical workshops, and client meetings
- Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and perform construction-phase site observations
- Support equipment startup, commissioning, functional performance testing, and project turnover
- Identify opportunities to improve designs through innovation and emerging technologies
- Contribute to GWx engineering standards, best practices, and quality processes
- Mentor developing engineers and designers as experience allows
- Share technical knowledge and contribute to a culture of collaboration and continuous learning
Experience may include HVAC systems, chilled and condenser water systems, hydronic systems, central utility plants, air distribution, high-density cooling, liquid cooling, equipment selection, energy analysis, and mission‑critical cooling infrastructure.
Electrical EngineeringExperience may include medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution, utility services, substations, UPS systems, standby generation, grounding and bonding, lighting, emergency systems, power system studies, and mission‑critical electrical infrastructure.
Experience may include domestic water, sanitary waste and vent, stormwater, natural gas, equipment drainage, condensate, process water, specialty plumbing systems, water conservation, and utility infrastructure.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
