Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our Product Development team! This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the Engineering team, developing and supporting world‑class luminaire designs. This person will work as part of a highly collaborative multi‑disciplinary team to bring new or enhanced products to market, along with providing a developmental opportunity to learn more about the systems and processes at Focal Point.

• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to bring architectural luminaires to market and improve existing products
• Ownership of project deliverables, including design drawings, design review action items, supporting documentation, bill of materials, packaging, instruction sheets, etc.
• Assist project teams with design, bill of material generation, CAD drawing modifications
• Support production through training, communicating custom requirements, and troubleshooting
• Assemble prototype designs and install mockups
• Simultaneously support multiple projects
• Collaborate with regulatory and field support teams as needed
• Establish and maintain a cooperative relationship with all support functions
• Continuously look for opportunities to improve engineering processes

• Detail‑oriented, with a desire to “roll up your sleeves” to help your team get the job done

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology or Associate’s degree in a technical program.
• Working knowledge of 3D CAD software. Solid Works preferred.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Experience with hands‑on prototyping
• Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 starting base plus bonus. This position is also eligible for overtime.
