Job Summary
Department: 09121 AMG Beverly – Building Operations, full‑time, 40 hours per week.
Schedule:
Monday‑Thursday 10:30a‑7p;
Saturdays 7:30a‑12n; or Monday‑Friday with one day off. Pay: $19.80 – $29.70 hourly. Bilingual Spanish preferred. Eligible for benefits.
Advocate Medical Group (AMG), part of Advocate Health, the largest nonprofit health system in Illinois and Wisconsin. Beverly AMG site is a high‑volume primary care clinic in Chicago, IL. The team delivers comprehensive preventive care and acute/chronic disease management.
Responsibilities- Support providers and patients by greeting visitors and answering calls about appointments, tests, referrals, billing, and other services.
- Enter billing information at time of service into patient accounting system; follow up on missing data.
- Assist clinical staff in maintaining accurate medical records in accordance with practice and group standards.
- Collect payment at time of service and ensure accurate entry of address, insurance coverage, and other billing details.
- Handle difficult callers/customers and patients in a professional manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years of related customer‑service experience.
- Experience handling difficult callers/customers/patients.
- Ability to function in a high volume, multi‑task environment.
- Must lift up to 35pounds; use patient‑handling equipment for loads over 35pounds or when assistance is required.
- Work in a crowded or closely shared workspace; exposure to ill patients.
- Ability to work under stressful conditions with demanding customers.
- Competitive base salary within the stated pay range.
