Events Coordinator
Under general supervision, the Events Coordinator supports the planning and execution of athletic and rental events by overseeing venue setup and logistics. Responsibilities include coordinating equipment, seating, audio, and video arrangements to ensure seamless event operations and an exceptional experience for participants and guests.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Act as point person for external customers regarding facility information availability, and costs. Calculate and provide cost estimates for external rental events.
- Set up staging for external events such as weddings, career fairs, and shows.
- Communicate with external renters to finalize contracts, insurance requirements, equipment needs and final settlement details.
- Perform facility administration for all athletic programs in the following venues; gymnasium, south fields, natatorium and Flames Athletic Center.
- Serve as liaison between venue renters, coaches, staff and Senior Associate Athletics Director for Facilities, Operations, and Capital Projects.
- Set up staging for seats, equipment, audio, and video for athletic events. Directs students that assist with setup.
- Manage all aspects of student employment, including scheduling, payroll administration, and assignment of duties.
- Oversee game management operations across multiple sports to ensure smooth event execution.
- Assist in daily preventative facility maintenance.
- Adhere to all University, Conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
- Oversight of department key inventory and building access procedures.
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- 60 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
- 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
