Make Lab Studio creates interactive live customization experiences for brands across North America. Our work blends technology, creativity, fabrication, and guest engagement through experiences like laser engraving, embroidery, printing, and personalization activations.

Make Lab Studio is hiring Event Staff for an interactive live laser engraving experience at a large scale trade show in Chicago.

This is a fast paced, guest facing role where team members will help operate a custom engraving activation across a multi day event. You'll work directly with guests, support production flow, and help create a smooth, high energy experience from start to finish.

We're filling a few different roles, including Guest Experience, Laser Op, and Concierge, so there's a fit whether you love working with people, running the tech, or keeping things organized.

Perfect for someone who enjoys live events, technology, customization, and working with people.

Greeting and assisting guests throughout the experience

Guiding attendees through the customization process

Supporting live laser engraving production on site

Assisting with simple technical operations and workflow management

Monitoring equipment and helping maintain efficient production flow

Managing guest lines and helping keep the experience organized

Maintaining a clean and professional event space

Working closely with the production team to ensure a seamless guest experience

Friendly, outgoing, and confident communication skills

Comfortable in fast paced event environments

Basic familiarity with Adobe Illustrator or InDesign is a strong asset

Tech comfortable and quick to learn new systems

Reliable, detail oriented, and proactive

Comfortable standing and moving throughout long event days

Available for everyday across the September 13 to 19 run
