About the Show

Just N Life with Nekia Nichelle is a lifestyle and entertainment series that brings together meaningful conversations, culture, wellness, beauty, fashion, food, entrepreneurship and everyday inspiration.

The show combines the warmth of a lifestyle program with the energy of a modern talk show, creating content for broadcast, streaming, digital and social audiences.

Position Overview

We are seeking a creative, organized and resourceful Intern Producer to support the development and production of Just N Life with Nekia Nichelle.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone interested in television, digital media, entertainment, journalism or content production. The Intern Producer will help move each episode from the initial idea to the final production by assisting with research, rundowns, guest coordination, scripts and production logistics.

This is not an internship where you simply observe. You will contribute to real episodes, real segments and a growing media production.

Responsibilities Develop Show Ideas

Research timely lifestyle, entertainment and cultural topics that align with the voice and audience of Just N Life.

Pitch guests, recurring segments, demonstrations, interviews, products, trends and story ideas for upcoming episodes.

Build Show Rundowns

Assist with creating and updating episode rundowns, including segment order, timing, transitions, commercial breaks, production notes and talent cues.

Work with the production team to ensure each episode is organized and stays within its assigned runtime.

Research Guests and Topics

Prepare guest research, interview notes, background information, talking points and suggested questions for Nekia Nichelle and the production team.

Verify names, titles, company information, statistics and other details before they are included in the show.

Support Guest Coordination

Assist with guest outreach, confirmations, scheduling and follow-up communication.

Help collect headshots, biographies, social media handles, product information, release forms and other materials needed before production.

Assist With Scripts and Segment Preparation

Draft segment introductions, interview questions, transitions, host notes, promotional copy and production summaries.

Help organize scripts and supporting materials so the host, guests and production team are fully prepared.

Support Production Days

Assist with call sheets, guest check-in, production schedules, props, products, wardrobe notes, set preparation and other production needs.

Communicate updates to the appropriate team members and help keep production moving on schedule.

Organize Production Materials

Maintain organized episode folders containing rundowns, scripts, research, releases, guest information and production assets.

Ensure all files are properly named, updated and accessible to the production team.

Support Digital Extensions

Identify moments from each episode that can be repurposed for You Tube, social media, the Just N Life website and promotional content.

Assist with preparing titles, descriptions, timestamps, captions and clip recommendations.

Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in television production, broadcast journalism, communications, media, film, marketing or a related field
  • Strong writing, research and organizational skills
  • Genuine interest in lifestyle, entertainment, culture and digital media
  • Comfortable working with deadlines and changing production needs
  • Able to communicate professionally with guests, brands and team members
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage several assignments at once
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office or similar platforms
  • Familiarity with production rundowns, teleprompters, editing software or project-management systems is a plus
  • Previous experience with a student television station, podcast, You Tube channel, publication or production company is helpful but not required
What You Will Learn
  • How a television and digital show is developed from concept through production
  • How to create professional show rundowns and production documents
  • How producers research, book and prepare guests
  • How scripts, interviews and lifestyle segments are developed
  • How broadcast content is repurposed across digital and social platforms
  • How brands and products may be incorporated into sponsored programming
  • How to work within a professional media and production environment
What We Expect

We are looking for someone who is dependable, proactive and ready to contribute. You should be willing to ask thoughtful questions, accept feedback and take ownership of your assignments.

Confidentiality, communication and integrity are essential. Interns may have access to unreleased episodes, guest information, brand partnerships and internal production materials that must remain private.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to build a real career in television, entertainment or media production—not someone simply looking to add another line to their résumé.

Schedule

This is a part-time internship.…
