We are looking for a full-time (40 hours per week) Event and Delegate Registration Manager who can support our growing Events department. As an Event and Delegate Registration Manager, you will have a diverse and varied role. You’ll collaborate with our global teams to support company initiatives and uncover innovative solutions, while taking a proactive approach to your day-to-day responsibilities. Weekend and on-call coverage may be required for this position.
Responsibilities& Duties
- Provide a complete and comprehensive website delegate registration service with a proactive and consultative approach.
- Manage a variety of events simultaneously and assist with larger events while delivering the highest standards with a personalized and individual approach to each client.
- Work alongside the Event Director and Senior Event Manager to assist on larger scale events.
- Negotiate the best rates from suppliers and actively seek to maximize savings, reduce client expenditure, and increase company profitability.
- Actively participate in generating new business for the events and website delegate registration service within all TAG offices.
- Manage the iHeart account, including all builds, reporting, guest communication, and improvements to delegate registration.
- Creatively prepare proposals, including event design, attend venue show rounds, entertain clients, and actively network in the industry. To use Photoshop, Canva, and other technology to raise the standards of client proposals for all TAG offices.
- To train, monitor standards, and offer advice to all other website delegate registration users within the team.
- In the absence of team members assume greater responsibility or complete administrative tasks and/or provide coverage to ensure the smooth running of the events department and client support.
- Proactively seek ways to improve functionality for the department by suggesting ideas for improved practices.
- Ensure all tasks are responded to, processed, and completed promptly, accurately, and within deadlines.
- Bring any areas of concern or potential problems to the attention of the line manager.
- Show professionalism at all times and promote positive working relationships with all levels of employees across the department.
- Attend FAM trips, proactively research, and continually expand knowledge and understanding of the Events industry, including venues, properties, and destinations.
- Due to the nature of the US Events team, additional tasks may be assigned on as-needed basis.
- In lieu of education, an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience.
- 4 years of experience within the event industry (events agency preferred) (Required)
- Delegate Registration experience (CVENT preferred) (Required)
- Experience handling VIP, Corporate, and Entertainment clients (Required)
- Experience working with at least $500k budgets and writing proposals (Preferred)
