Staff Accountant

Experience &

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant
• Hospitality and Restaurant experience preferred

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Analyze and prepare reports on all liability and equity accounts for month-end reporting.
• Analyze financial information detailing assets, and liabilities; prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, profit and loss statements, and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial positions for other managers.
• Assist the Restaurant Controller, Finance Director, and CFO as needed.
• Assist with budgeting for assigned restaurant.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
• Serve as liaison between store leadership and finance department for assigned restaurants.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
• Handle bank account reconciliations; flagging fraudulent or attempted fraudulent transactions and implementing policies to address them.
• Prepare and file city and state monthly and annual sales tax returns.
• Process sales reconciliations monthly for assigned restaurants.
• Responsible for ensuring A/P admin has properly recorded and paid all A/P invoices.
• Responsible for ensuring all necessary journal entries are processed weekly and monthly for assigned stores.
• Responsible for ensuring all W-9 info is on file for DMS and related company vendors to ensure 1099 files can be completed accurately and timely.
• Review rent/CAM statements annually for possible over payments.
