The Role

The Senior Financial Analyst for Commercial Services will be responsible for financial analysis, monthly close oversight, and budgeting/forecasting in support of the Commercial Services organization. The role will also contribute to departmental reporting, global fund contribution analysis, preparation of ad hoc analysis, and participation in projects as needed.

Key aspects of the role
  • Complete/oversee monthly financial responsibilities for various commercial services departments. Responsibilities include variance analysis, budget development and reforecasting, and accruals.
  • Serve as the primary/initial point of contact with commercial services business contacts on financial matters and related questions.
  • Work to enhance the fund contribution process, including analysis and reporting.
  • Identify areas of opportunity and efficiency savings in areas of responsibility.
  • Leverage statistical and operational data to draw correlations between periodic operational and financial results, providing greater insight and decision‑making abilities to senior management.
  • Help in addressing any ad‑hoc requests daily.
  • Actively pursue learning and self‑development to enhance personal and professional growth.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt's core values.
Qualifications
  • Experience

    Required:

    Three to five years in finance and/or accounting
  • Experience Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or equivalent preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly Excel and Power Point
