Property Accountant

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid - 4 days onsite)

Type: Full-Time, Permanent/Direct Hire

Pay Range: $90,000 - $105,000 base salary plus 10% bonus

Key Responsibilities:

Property Accounting & Financials

• Property-level financials quarterly or monthly.
• Review property-level financials
• Property updates (sale, refinance, partner buy-out, etc).
• Track interest for the applicable entities

Fund-Level Support

• Preparing investor reporting
• Collect K-1s for the Fund tax returns
• Monitor equity contributions, distributions, and cost basis changes
• Prepare a weekly report on current bank balances for all bank accounts.

Process Improvement & Controls

• Document standardized workflows to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Identify opportunities to streamline data flow

Key

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance
• CPA preferred
• 3-7 years of experience in property accounting, fund accounting, or real estate investment accounting
