We are seeking an experienced Payroll Contractor to support our client's day-to-day US payroll operations.
Responsibilities- Process end-to-end US payroll, including quarterly and year-end activities
- Review payroll adjustments for accuracy, authorization, and compliance
- Research and resolve complex payroll, tax, ACH, and reporting issues
- Respond to payroll inquiries and explain pay, adjustments, and tax impacts
- Provide backup support and perform second-level payroll reviews
- Partner with vendors and support payroll system updates/testing (e.g., Workday)
- Monitor regulatory changes and support payroll process improvements
- 7+ years of payroll experience
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
- Experience with payroll production, reconciliations, garnishments, and tax filings - MUST HAVE
- Solid understanding of payroll accounting and employment taxes
- Workday payroll system experience - MUST HAVE
- International payroll exposure a plus
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills
