Job Description & How to Apply Below

Broadstreet Impact Services is an impact financial services company with two connected businesses: fund services and fund management. We support impact investing, where funds pursue financial returns and measurable real-world outcomes. We provide fund administration and operational support to fund managers and manage select investment vehicles directly, including private loan funds and a specialized tax credit investing platform (the federal New Markets Tax Credit program).

Across our platform, we manage about $500M in assets through funds we operate and oversee, and we administer about $1.9B in assets under administration for clients.

The Role

Broadstreet Impact Services is seeking a detail-oriented Fund Accountant to perform a wide range of accounting and financial reporting functions for entities under Broadstreet’s management. This role supports the full accounting lifecycle, including general ledger maintenance, cash and treasury activity, billing and collections, quarterly and annual financial reporting, and assistance with year-end audit and tax preparation. The Fund Accountant also serves as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners supporting assigned entities.

This position is ideal for a highly analytical, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is aligned with Broadstreet’s mission and values.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $68,000–$80,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.

What You’ll Do
  • Prepare and analyze quarterly financial statements and supporting work papers for an assigned portfolio of entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal standards and reporting deadlines.
  • Review closing documents for new entities and loans to understand loan terms, fee structures, and ongoing reporting requirements.
  • Monitor daily cash activity, ensuring all transfers are completed accurately and on time.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations, wire authorization requests, and perform other treasury-related functions as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, partners, borrowers, and external tax and audit preparers to ensure timely receipt and delivery of financial information.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure adherence to established processes, procedures, agreements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure financial data, reports, and schedules are accurate, current, and consistent across systems and documentation.
  • Support special projects as assigned and proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and add value to the department and organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience in fund accounting, entity accounting, financial services, or a similar accounting environment.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes.
  • Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Knowledge of cash management, bank reconciliations, and treasury-related activities.
  • Experience supporting audit and tax preparation, including coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Ability to review and interpret agreements (such as loan documents and fee schedules) to ensure accurate accounting and reporting treatment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, reconciliations, and data analysis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting or financial reporting systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities.
