Job Description
- Work in partnership with the Administrative Committee, Global People, Legal, Treasury, Tax, IT, and external vendors to implement enhancements and changes (new features, law changes, new funds, etc.) to the 401k Plan and the Deferred Compensation Plan, including the updating of communication materials for participants.
- Prepare various monthly bank account reconciliations.
- Prepare the company match expense testing.
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies for participants at the crew level to the highest-level executives.
- Prepare Ex-Pat company match chargebacks.
- Prepare wires and reconciliations related to Non-Qualified payments to participants.
- Perform various ad-hoc projects and analysis to support Management and other customers.
- This is an Accounting Analyst position focused primarily on benefits accounting.
- Handle accounting activities related to employee benefits
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in financial reporting
- Maintain strict confidentiality due to access to sensitive financial information
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies (strong problem-solving skills required)
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 3+ years accounting experience
- Proven analytical, problem solving, and project management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to comfortably interact with all levels within the organization and a customer service orientation - The ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer skills, with emphasis on Microsoft Excel
- Experience in benefits accounting (preferred)
- Oracle experience is a plus

401(k) Plan: The Synectics Inc. Investment Savings Retirement Plan. Synectics offers all employees who are 21 years of age or older the opportunity to invest in the 401(k) Plan on the first enrollment date that is at least 30 days after employment begins. Enrollment dates are each January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, and October 1st.
Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus.
It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
