Title: VP, Financial Planning & Analysis

Location: Chicago, IL

Our client is a well-established, financially strong property & casualty insurance organization with a growing national footprint. This role is part of a broader finance leadership build-out and will partner closely with executive leadership to drive financial strategy and performance.

The VP, FP&A will lead enterprise-wide financial planning, forecasting, and performance management for the organization. This role will serve as a strategic business partner to senior leadership and play a key role in shaping financial decision-making.

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives
• Partner with business leaders across underwriting, claims, and operations
• Provide executive-level reporting, insights, and variance analysis
• Support board and senior management presentations
• Drive financial performance management and KPI development
• Improve FP&A processes, tools, and reporting
• Lead and develop an FP&A team

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 12+ years of progressive FP&A or finance experience
• Insurance industry experience strongly preferred (P&C a plus)
• Prior leadership of FP&A or corporate finance teams
• Strong financial modeling and analytical background
• Executive presence and strong communication skills
• MBA and/or CPA preferred
