Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are currently partnered with an innovative tech start-up in Downtown Chicago that is looking for a talented Financial Systems Manager. This is a Full-Time and Fully Onsite position in the River North area.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Finance Systems Manager to own and scale our finance application stack—including Net Suite ERP, Salesforce CRM, FP&A, revenue tools, and integrations—so the team can close faster, forecast better, and operate with strong controls.

You’ll partner with Accounting, FP&A, Rev Ops, GTM, and IT to design core finance processes (Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report), drive automation, and ensure data quality, compliance, and usability across platforms.

You will support the Controller in a comprehensive financial systems overhaul, including vendor selection, implementation, Salesforce-to-Net Suite integration, customization, UAT testing, and go-live. You will also work closely with external implementation and integration partners to deliver scalable, well-governed systems on time and on budget.

Responsibilities Own the Finance Stack:
  • Serve as system owner/admin for ERP (Net Suite preferred; Sage Intacct or MS D365 acceptable) and Salesforce (Sales, Service, and Partner Clouds), plus adjacent tools (expense management, AP automation, billing/revenue, payroll, FP&A/planning, procurement).
  • Manage roles, permissions, workflows, approvals, and audit trails.
Architect Processes:
  • Design, document, and improve O2C, P2P, and R2R processes; embed controls and segregation of duties.
  • Translate policy (e.g., revenue recognition, capitalization, approvals) into system rules.
Implement & Integrate:
  • Lead implementations, module rollouts, and upgrades, including discovery, design, build, testing (SIT/UAT), cutover, and hypercare.
  • Build and maintain integrations (e.g., Salesforce ? ERP, billing, banks, data warehouse).
  • Partner with third-party implementation and integration partners to execute configurations, data migrations, and integrations.
  • Partner with Rev Ops to ensure Salesforce data (customers, contracts, opportunities) flows accurately into finance systems.
Data, Reporting & Analytics:
  • Establish master data governance (CoA, items, customers, vendors) and enforce naming/numbering standards.
  • Deliver financial and operational reporting (close packages, KPIs, variance analysis) in ERP/FP&A and BI tools (Looker/Power BI).
  • Partner with the Controller and FP&A to enable driver-based planning and forecasting.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities (bank recs, invoice matching, intercompany, amortization) to reduce manual effort.
Controls & Compliance:
  • Support audit readiness (SOX-lite), including access reviews, change management, evidence collection, and documentation.
  • Ensure data security, backup, and disaster recovery practices are followed.
Partner & Enable:
  • Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, GTM/Rev Ops, and IT to prioritize a systems roadmap aligned with business goals.
  • Train end users, maintain SOPs/playbooks, run office hours, and manage vendors and licenses within budget.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 6+ years in finance systems, accounting operations, or business systems at a high-growth company or consulting/SI environment; at least one end-to-end ERP implementation.
  • Systems: Hands-on admin/config experience with Net Suite, Sage Intacct, or MS D365;
    Salesforce in a finance-integrated environment; FP&A, billing/revenue, AP/expense, and iPaaS tools.
  • Integrations: Experience supporting Salesforce-to-ERP integrations in partnership with Rev Ops and external teams.
  • Accounting & Policy: Strong understanding of O2C, P2P, R2R, multi-entity/multi-currency, and ASC 606.
  • Delivery: Proven project management, UAT, change management, documentation, and vendor oversight.
  • Soft Skills: Clear communicator with a bias for automation, accuracy, and scalable solutions.
