** A publicly traded, multi-entity insurance and financial services organization is seeking a technically strong Senior Accountant to join its corporate consolidation and financial reporting team.

This role sits within the enterprise reporting function and supports consolidated U.S. GAAP financial statements for a complex, multi-segment organization. The position is ideal for an accountant who has moved beyond transactional GL work and has direct exposure to consolidations, eliminations, and enterprise-level financial statement preparation.

---## The Opportunity You will support the monthly and quarterly close process with a focus on consolidation mechanics, financial statement assembly, KPI reporting, and audit coordination. The role interfaces with multiple business units and requires strong technical discipline, attention to detail, and comfort operating within a structured reporting calendar.

This is not a staff-level bookkeeping position. It requires demonstrated experience in enterprise consolidations and financial statement preparation.

---## Core Responsibilities
* Support execution of the monthly and quarterly close calendar
* Perform consolidation activities including; intercompany balancing, inter & intra-segment eliminations, suspense account analysis
* Prepare consolidated balance sheets, income statements, statements of equity, and segment-level reporting schedules
* Assemble and validate enterprise financial supplements, including KPI calculations and analytical exhibits
* Prepare non-GAAP income statement reconciliations
* Record journal entries and complete monthly account reconciliations
* Partner with internal and external auditors to provide supporting documentation
* Contribute to process improvement and reporting automation initiatives---## Required Profile This position is specifically targeted toward candidates who meet the following:
* 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
* Direct experience with general ledger consolidations and financial statement preparation
* Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
* Experience with in insurance or financial services
* Experience operating within a large ERP environment
* Advanced Excel capability (pivot tables, lookups, large data sets)
* Demonstrated analytical rigor and attention to detail

Preferred:
* Exposure to statutory accounting principles
* Familiarity with Workday Financial Management
* Experience with Workiva (WDesk)---## Who Will Not Be a Fit This role will not align with:
