Financial Analyst, Financial Consultant
The Investment Associate is responsible for working collaboratively with colleagues on the consulting and manager research teams to collect and synthesize data, support analytical work and gather information required for client deliverables.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Obtain monthly and quarterly client statements from investment managers and custodians
- Enter market values and cash flows from the investment manager and custodian statements in the investment software platform for each account in which the client is invested, while problem solving any discrepancies in performance calculations and reconciling performance returns across sources
- Understand and analyze all asset classes in clients’ portfolios such as equities, fixed income, real estate, hedge funds and private equity
- Monitor market trends and monthly performance results for all asset classes
- Participate in team and firm projects upon request, which may include creating charts/graphs for client deliverables and data analysis
- Assist Research team in generating reports and collecting data from eVestment, Bloomberg, Morningstar, and Fact Set
- Organize weekly agendas for investment committee meetings, take and distribute meeting minutes
- Provide day-to-day client support: respond to client, manager, and custodian inquiries, explain performance results to the client team when requested, and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Support asset class leaders with investment manager research by collecting/analyzing data, attending investment manager meetings, and helping create client-ready deliverables, education materials, and manager reports/analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related field
- Commitment to client service excellence
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
- Ability to work independently to meet deadlines; use critical thinking skills to solve problems autonomously
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and react to change positively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Curiosity and interest in the institutional investment market; strong desire to learn
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office; ability to quickly learn new software applications, including those which are proprietary
The starting salary offer will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan, which includes a target bonus of $5,000.
