We are seeking a hands‑on, strategic Director of Finance / Group Controller to lead accounting and financial operations across our portfolio.
This role will own and optimize our
Restaurant
365 (R365) accounting platform
, oversee multi‑entity accounting, manage consolidated reporting, and serve as a financial partner to ownership. The ideal candidate understands both GAAP accounting and the operational realities of hospitality businesses.
This role reports directly to Ownership and combines strategic leadership with hands‑on execution.
Key Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Operations- Oversee accounts payable, billings, and cash receipts across all entities
- Ensure timely monthly close and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain general ledgers across multiple LLCs
- Establish and maintain internal controls
- Oversee payroll coordination (if applicable)
- Manage vendor relationships and payment systems
- Lead annual budgeting process
- Build rolling forecasts
- Perform cash flow modeling
- Assist ownership in evaluating new ventures and capital investments
- Produce timely monthly financial statements for each entity
- Develop consolidated reporting across the portfolio
- Provide ownership with clear, actionable financial dashboards
- Analyze unit‑level economics, margins, and labor performance
- Monitor and improve cash flow across operating and real‑estate entities
- Participate in management meetings
- Advise ownership on capital allocation and growth strategy
- Support potential acquisitions, restructures, or new concept launches
- Help build scalable finance infrastructure
- Coordinate with outside CPA for annual tax returns
- Oversee 1099 preparation and compliance filings
- Ensure multi‑entity compliance with state and local requirements
- Assist with lender reporting as needed
- 3–10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
- Experience in hospitality, multi‑unit retail, or real estate strongly preferred
- Experience managing multiple legal entities
- Strong GAAP foundation
- Experience with budgeting and cash flow forecasting
- Comfortable operating in entrepreneurial environments
- Advanced Excel / financial modeling capability
- CPA preferred but not required
- High accountability
