The Manager, Financial Planning will lead financial planning and analysis for the US Technology Investment funding model, managing a $200M+ balance sheet plus an additional $150M+ OPNAD technology budget and other funding sources. This role ensures accurate planning, forecasting, and stewardship of Owner/Operator (O/O) funding for technology initiatives across the U.S. market. It is a high-visibility position supporting the US CIO, senior technology leadership, and external stakeholders, including the M-Tech Board and Owner/Operators.
Duties- Lead Annual Planning Process (April–November):
Develop and deliver the financial plan for U.S. Technology, converting initiative-level budgets into per-restaurant pricing for Tech Investment line items. Includes creating communication package and assisting in socialization/roadshow efforts with external stakeholders (M-Tech Board, Owner/Operators). - Manage Forecasting & Variance Analysis:
Maintain accurate projections throughout the year, ensuring alignment with plan and responsible use of O/O funds. - Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as primary finance partner for 25+ budget owners, including Senior Directors and Directors, providing insights and guidance. - Funding Model Oversight:
Manage monthly invoicing to Owner/Operators, true‑up processes, and integration of additional funding sources (capital allocations, OPNAD, Global Technology). - Initiative-Level Planning:
Support Total Cost of Ownership methodology by planning at the product/project level and rolling up to Tech Investment line items. - Governance & Reporting:
Prepare financial reports and presentations for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A or financial management roles.
- Exceptional communication and relationship management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage complex budgets and multiple stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial planning systems (e.g. Power
BI)
- CPA, CFA, MBA, or equivalent advanced degree.
- Experience in technology or investment funding models.
- Familiarity with Owner/Operator business structures.
