What you'll do...Inventory Control disciplines are essential to manage the financial and operational risks to Ford Motor Company. Support financial and quantitative control/accuracy of inventory by following the directives expressed in the Financial Manual (FM) and guidelines outlined in the Production Inventory Guidelines. Monitor and drive Inventory Control principles to ensure oversight procedures are in place to drive inventory control and compliance.
Responsibilities:Support financial and quantitative control/accuracy of inventory by following the directives expressed in the Financial Manual (FM) and guidelines outlined in the Production Inventory Guidelines
Monitor the Items in the Production Inventory Guidelines to ensure oversight procedures are in place to drive inventory control
Highlight and identify action plans to address potential non-compliant inventory issues. Support implementation of action plans and drive to completion.
Ensure 401 Scorecard metrics are maintained and measured. Focus attention on potential inventory accuracy issues and trends to identify root cause and implement corrective actions
Update analyst/plant specific SharePoint folder with scorecard line-item status and identify open concerns.
Document corrective actions and timing for closure on Yellow & Red score card Issues each month.
Monitor status of corrective action plans to ensure timely closure.
Report plant MCRP and Inventory control issues up to senior leadership
Support MCRP documentation and testing to ensure annual testing is performed and controls are operating effectively.
Ensure OCM awareness and engagement to drive plant internal controls
Lead discussions and motivate management to address inventory issues and provide corrective actions.
Identify Inventory reduction opportunities/efficiencies at respective plants
Assist plants to execute flawless launch/balance out – support implementation and execution of balance out preparation actions and launch activities
Ensure plant record integrity for production and bailment parts by maintaining negative balances and overseeing the processing of accurate & timely inventory transactions
Support all GAO/PWC audits as required
High school or GED
3-5 years of experience in Inventory using SAP
Functional understanding of CMMS Inventory transactions and inventory business practices and supporting systems.
Strong leadership behaviors, with a systemic process oriented mindset.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills, ability to lead cross-functional teams
Bachelor’s Degree in Material Flow Engineering, related degree; or foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education.
Experience with CMMS3 Data/Datamart or other Data Analytical Tools
Strong supply chain, supplier performance and/or plant experience preferred
Strong CMMS3 knowledge
