Investment Banking Associate - Tech

Technology M&A Associate | Chicago

We are working with a global investment bank that is actively expanding its Technology M&A team in Chicago. Off the back of sustained deal activity and a strong forward pipeline, they are looking to add an Associate to support continued growth across key tech verticals.

The Role:

• Execute M&A transactions across the Technology sector, including software, fintech, digital infrastructure, IT services, and internet
• Support deal execution end to end, from origination through close
• Prepare pitch materials, teasers, information memoranda, and management presentations
• Build and review financial models and valuation analyses, including DCF, comps, and precedents
• Coordinate due diligence and manage internal and external stakeholders
• Work closely with senior bankers on client coverage and transaction execution

The Profile:

• 2 to 6 years of investment banking experience
• Prior Technology exposure preferred, but not essential
• Strong M&A execution experience across buy-side and sell-side mandates
• Excellent financial modelling and valuation skills
• Strong communication skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
