Position: Sr. Treasury Analyst (Hybrid)

Sr. Treasury Analyst (Hybrid) – Chicago, IL

Responsible for treasury accounting, cash management, liquidity forecasting, financial analysis, investment reporting, process improvements, and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities Financial Accounting and Analysis
  • Assist with monthly/annual financial close process and analysis related to treasury activities, investment reporting and cash activity.
  • Prepare and analyze daily and monthly investment reporting for senior management, including review of activity, trends, and variances.
  • Perform financial analysis of treasury reports and data; prepare clear, actionable summaries and insights for management.
  • Assist in the development, review, and documentation of treasury accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, including cash flow and investment‑related components.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting through adherence to established methodologies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
Treasury & Cash Management
  • Assist with daily cash management and banking activities, including account maintenance and bank relationship support.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze cash forecasts to support short‑term liquidity needs and long‑term financial planning.
  • Review and initiate wire and ACH payments in accordance with internal controls and authorization thresholds.
  • Process and authorize payroll, business tax, and sales tax payments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Analyze bank fees and service charges; identify cost‑reduction opportunities and provide recommendations to optimize banking services and fee structures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve treasury processes; recommend and implement automation and efficiency‑enhancing solutions.
  • Support treasury technology initiatives and continuous process enhancements.
  • Provide back‑up coverage for treasury accounting and cash management functions as needed.
Accounting Operations
  • Analyze financial trends, including revenue and expense variances, using consistent methodologies and reporting standards.
  • Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Stay current on accounting standards, treasury practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly Paymentech credit card activity for multiple business units, ensuring accuracy and completeness against supporting systems and reports.
  • Research and evaluate accounting and treasury best practices and recommend improvements where appropriate.

May include other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • CPA and/or CTP certification highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive corporate accounting and/or treasury experience required.
  • Experience working with financial systems and reporting tools required; experience with platforms such as Oracle Hyperion, Smart View/Essbase, Blackline, Lawson, or comparable platforms preferred.
  • Experience with cash forecasting, liquidity management, and banking operations preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Access a plus).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Sound judgment and ability to apply company policies and established procedures to resolve routine and moderately complex issues.
  • High level of professionalism, business acumen, and analytical thinking.
  • This role is an exempt position. Salary range: $87,394–$115,797. Employees are also eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
