Credit Underwriter II-Leasing​/Global Vendor Finance

Job Overview

This role analyzes and interprets a client’s creditworthiness, evaluates credit risks, and writes credit approval memos for annual renewals and new lending opportunities. The analyst supports underwriting, monitoring, and closing of transactions, ensuring compliance with the bank’s risk appetite.

• Analyze client financial performance, compare to past performance, projections, and industry standards.
• Review financial statements, assess compliance with financial covenants, and renew risk ratings, recommending changes when warranted.
• Assist in underwriting, credit risk analysis, negotiation, and closing of new or existing transactions while adhering to all policies.
• Evaluate transaction and relationship risk‑adjusted profitability to facilitate capital allocation.
• Build projection models for clients based on historical performance, industry forecasts, and due diligence findings.
• Train, coach, and mentor Credit Analysts.
• Partner with client‑facing teammates to consult on sales opportunities and provide product expertise.
• Structure terms of leases/loans concerning pricing, rates, payment, term, and collateral.
• Manage the credit process for a portfolio of clients, reviewing statements, assessing covenants, confirming risk ratings, and recommending changes.

• 3+ years of commercial credit underwriting and credit analysis experience.
• Effective presentation, structuring, financial statement, and risk analysis skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience.

Location:

110 N Wacker Dr, Bank Of America Tower Chicago (IL 4110). Salary range: $80,000 – $135,000 annualized, plus discretionary incentive eligibility. Benefits:
