Overview
Join the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team at CME Group, a leading derivatives marketplace. The role supports Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) compliance activities within a joint venture with Fan Duel, focusing on regulatory strategy and risk protection in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities- Execute key compliance functions for futures and swaps trading, including retail customers, options, and margin requirements.
- Review transaction monitoring alerts and complete appropriate resolutions.
- Monitor customer risk ratings and incoming complaints.
- Perform electronic communication reviews.
- Support development and rollout of new trading products and services.
- Coordinate regulatory inquiry, examination, and investigation responses, including client arbitration and litigation matters.
- Maintain and update policies and procedures.
- Track new and amended industry rules, assess impact, and implement compliance changes.
- Participate in internal working groups and governance forums, providing advice and documentary support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, or related field; advanced degree or certification is a plus.
- 1‑3 years of regulatory or compliance experience focused on FCM regulation within a financial services firm, regulatory agency, or self‑regulatory organization.
- Strong foundational knowledge of the Commodity Exchange Act, CFTC Regulations, and NFA/exchange rules.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to summarize complex regulatory issues.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills, able to prioritize and work independently.
- Effective interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and maintain relationships with colleagues, clients, and regulators.
- Ability to identify compliance issues and develop remedial enhancements to policies and controls.
