About the Role

The Multi-Asset Indices Product Management team at S&P Dow Jones Indices (S&P DJI) is seeking a Senior Specialist to support its initiatives in both the US and globally. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team as a product manager, providing S&P DJI's clients with indexing solutions in growing areas of the insurance, options overlay, and multi-asset investment universes. This multi-faceted role includes serving as the owner of the product development and maintenance process as well as the financial health of the product line.

Role

Responsibilities
  • Help define and execute the product development strategy, considering broad market trends and client needs.
  • Support the suite of Multi-Asset Indices and products via analysis and content creation for thought leadership materials (pitch decks, blogs, white papers, videos, and other media).
  • Work closely with the Research and Design team on index design.
  • Help oversee the index launch process: plan the overall project, coordinate across internal teams, and manage timelines with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with product management team members and support global initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree required. Master’s degree in a relevant field or progress toward a CFA charter a plus.
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Self-driven with strong motivation to research and innovate on new ideas.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills are essential, comfortable working with large data sets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Candidate would eventually have to deliver high quality presentations both internally and externally to clients and create other content.
  • The position requires interacting with sophisticated clients. The ability to learn and ask questions is paramount.
  • Programming skills (Python, R, SQL, VBA, others) are desirable.
  • Knowledge of financial packages such as Fact Set, Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Barra, Axioma, etc. is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. Candidate can effectively influence others and gain their consensus when needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle steep learning curves. Candidate should be very comfortable dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty.
  • The position requires the ability to deal with a high level of technical complexity and the ability to explain that complexity to audiences with a wide spectrum of sophistication.
Compensation & Benefits Information

(This section is only applicable to US candidates) S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,000,000 to $105,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan and additional S&P Global benefits.
