About the Position

Old Mission Capital, a global quantitative proprietary trading firm, is currently hiring a talented trader to join its growing FICC desk. The ideal candidate will be a proficient risk taker with experience trading corporate bonds or similar securities. Credit research experience would be extremely valuable in this role.

• The credit trader job responsibilities will include disciplined decision making, risk management, and researching new opportunities.

• Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree preferably in engineering, statistics, mathematics or a hard science or economics
• Candidates need to have exceptionally high mathematical OR computer programming skills (Must be proficient in Python, VBA, or R)
• Strong quantitative, analytical, research oriented and problem solving skills
• Superior communication both written and verbal and has the ability to handle multiple tasks in a time sensitive, fast paced, collaborative, collegial environment
• Successful candidates will have a passion for the financial markets and will have an entrepreneurial mindset as the team is growing and this individual will be a value added contributor that will have an immediate impact to the team
• Credit/Fixed Income research or trading experience is required
