Monroe Capital manages over $20 billion in assets and is one of the most active middle market private credit lenders in the United States. The Senior Associate will work alongside experienced investment professionals to evaluate new credit opportunities and manage the ongoing performance of Monroe Capital's healthcare-focused private credit fund investments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing new private credit investment opportunities through in-depth financial modeling and sector research
- Preparing comprehensive investment committee memoranda and credit recommendations
- Interfacing with investment banks, due diligence providers, and management teams throughout the deal process
- Reviewing and negotiating legal documentation for credit facilities
- Managing and monitoring syndicated loan portfolios, tracking covenant compliance and portfolio performance
- Developing and maintaining deep expertise in healthcare sector dynamics, regulatory trends, and competitive positioning
The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in leveraged finance, investment banking, credit research, principal investing, or management consulting. A strong academic background from a top-tier institution is required, along with advanced Excel and financial modeling proficiency. Demonstrated interest in the healthcare sector is preferred.
Compensation ranges from $105,000 to $145,000 base salary, plus performance bonus and comprehensive benefits. The role is based in Monroe Capital's Chicago headquarters.
