C. U. Financial is a Non‑Delegated Correspondent Lender with over 20 years of experience, specializing in purchase mortgages and refinancing services. We are committed to serving our clients with honesty, integrity, and competence. We are growing our Team and looking for a new Mortgage Loan Processor to join us. Current experience working for a Correspondent Lender or Broker shop is required.
If you’re interested in the role but lack experience in Correspondent lending, we can train the right Broker Processor. This position offers a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
- Monitor and manage a large pipeline of mortgage applications to ensure timely funding of loans.
- Evaluate and assess residential mortgage loan applications for completeness and compliance.
- Utilize DU or LP underwriting engines and compare findings with loan documentation, collecting additional documents as necessary.
- Maintain communication and support between Loan Originators and other departments (Sales, Underwriting, Compliance, Funding).
- Identify changes in circumstances and prepare any necessary Redisclosing, including LEs and CDs.
- Assess risk of residential mortgage applications based on underwriting standards.
- Organize and maintain accurate file documentation to meet company and industry standards.
- Prepare and submit completed loan file to underwriting for decision based on mandated quality control guidelines and regulatory compliance.
- Resubmit loan file to obtain clear to close status and collect prior to closing documents.
- Schedule closings with all parties involved.
- Knowledge of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac lending programs, MI guidelines, mortgage industry documentation, and QM underwriting standards.
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory guidelines including Fair Lending, TRID, and HMDA reporting.
- Ability to evaluate Automated Underwriting Findings (DU/LP).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in mortgage loan processing for Correspondent Lender or Mortgage Broker.
- Positive and professional work ethics.
- Mortgage Loan Processor certification a plus.
- Recent experience working for a Correspondent lender or Broker shop is required.
- Familiarity with Broker or Independent mortgage processing.
- Experience in Non‑Del Correspondent lending is a plus.
