Director of Finance Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
- CPA designation preferred
- 5–7 years of hospitality accounting experience required
- 3–5 years of prior management experience required
- Advanced skills in accounting software, spreadsheets, and word processing
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal abilities
Director of Finance Preferred Background & Skills
- Resort experience preferred
- Proficiency with M3 accounting software valued
Director of Finance Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations including accounting, procurement, payroll, tax, revenue, and capital planning
- Prepare and analyze timely management reports and financial statements
- Manage annual audits, tax compliance, and integrity of payroll processes
- Establish and enforce internal controls and operational accounting standards
- Analyze financial data to drive performance improvements and maximize profits
- Collaborate with leadership and department heads on budgets and revenue strategy
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and purchasing teams
- Ensure the security of financial data and information technology systems
- Build strong relationships with auditors, guests, vendors, and internal stakeholders
