Lakeside Bank Floating Universal Banker

VP, Market Manager

Hours:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (in office). Must be available Saturdays 9:00 am – 1:00 pm.

Summary

This is a great opportunity to meet and work with Bankers at all of our branch locations. The role requires travel, including last‑minute schedule changes, and the candidate must have their own transportation. The Universal Banker provides superior service to customers, handling Teller and basic Personal Banking transactions accurately and in a timely manner, while developing profitable customer relationships with the Branch/Bank.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Sells or participates in the sale of bank products and services following established guidelines and procedures. Promotes additional business from existing customers.
  • Provides basic information and answers customer inquiries concerning bank products and services.
  • Exhibits strong working knowledge of all retail bank products and general banking terms, providing clear and accurate explanations of account parameters as outlined in our Consumer Disclosure.
  • Offers courteous and efficient service.
  • Processes checking and savings transactions, cashes checks within specified limits and policies, accepts loan payments; sells Personal Money Orders and Cashier’s Checks; processes mail deposits, night depository deposits, ATM deposits and armored courier deposits as required.
  • Accepts and verifies loose and rolled coin from customers, properly bags loose coin in appropriate dollar amounts for shipment to the Main Cash Vault, and collects applicable coin‑counting fees from customers.
  • Counts, proofs, and packages currency according to established and accepted cash handling procedures.
  • Processes transactions as a Drive‑Up/Walk‑Up Teller.
  • May be required to Open/Close the branch.
  • Recognizes potential fraud and reports it to management as necessary.
  • Maintains supplies and balances the ATM.
  • Balances cash drawer and accurately prepares the Teller blotter.
  • Maintains cash drawer security at all times.
  • Maintains up‑to‑date knowledge of products offered and their basic features and benefits.
  • Performs file maintenance for commercial and retail customers in accordance with branch operations procedures.
  • Takes requests for check orders and debit cards and re‑orders them.
  • Accepts and performs wire transfers in accordance with bank operations policy and authority limits.
  • Understands the branch’s retail goals, personal goals, and achievement expectations.
  • Follows bank and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Attendance is a requirement of the position.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent. Two or more years of retail bank experience, including sales and cash handling.
