Our Transaction Tax Practice focuses on the tax aspects of corporate and private equity acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, and capital market transactions. As a senior partner on the Transactions team, you will apply your knowledge to a wide range of tax areas, devising strategic outcomes for very complex issues, including US domestic and cross‑border tax strategies.
YourKey Responsibilities
As a Senior you will be a member of the team developing and implementing transactions. You will spend your time on a diverse array of projects and clients in a highly collaborative culture. You will develop relationships with clients and internal resources while coaching junior team members.
Skills and Attributes for Success• Serve as a member of multiple client engagement teams, participating in due diligence and structuring engagements related to transactions for private equity and strategic corporate clients.
• Perform due diligence projects to provide a thorough review of tax returns, legal documents, and financial statements needed to evaluate and calculate potential tax exposures.
• Review, assess, and advise clients regarding tax computations reflected in their financial models; and assist clients in the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the tax data in their financial projections for the transaction.
QualificationsRequired:
- US CPA or member of US State bar
- A bachelor's degree and around 3 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and 2 years of related work experience
- Tax due diligence, deal structuring, and post‑acquisition planning experience
- Experience managing budgets, projects, and people
Preferred:
- Strong writing, research, analytical, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced professional services environment
- Willingness and ability to travel, when necessary

Benefits and CompensationWe offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $118,300 to $195,100. The base salary range for the New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $141,900 to $221,800.
Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.Our hybrid model expects most people in external, client‑serving roles to work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
