About the RoleThe Company is in search of a Chief Risk Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic planning and oversight of the enterprise-wide risk management framework, policies, programs, processes, and systems. This includes managing and monitoring risk exposure across all banking and financial services activities. The Chief Risk Officer will also be tasked with integrating risk management into strategic goal setting and business planning, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and establishing a risk appetite framework.
The role involves direct interaction with the CEO, the Board of Directors, and various committees, as well as leading a team to execute risk-based plans and internal reviews. Applicants for the Chief Risk Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred. A minimum of 10 years' experience in risk management and/or compliance within the financial industry is required, along with a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a proven leadership ability, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Professionalism, confidentiality, and proficiency in MS Office are also essential. The role demands a strategic thinker who can influence their own development and is dedicated to the continuous improvement of risk management practices.
