As a Vice President – Investment, Global Fund
  • Work as a member of the US private equity team while also interacting closely with our global investment team, portfolio operations team, and portfolio company management.
  • Conduct investment theme research and development, investment sourcing, and marketing / network development.
  • Serve as a deal quarterback and support all aspects of deal execution, including investment analysis, financial modeling, deal negotiations, and management of third-party advisors.
  • Work with portfolio companies to drive value creation, including supporting add-on acquisitions and strategic projects.
  • Actively mentor and train junior members of the team.
  • Manage increased responsibilities within Baird Capital.

What we look for Education
  • Undergraduate university degree from a leading institution.
  • MBA degree from a top university or professional certification (CPA, CFA) preferred but not required.
Knowledge/Experience
  • Five to seven years of relevant work experience, one to three years post graduate or equivalent level work experience.
  • Relevant experience includes investment banking, private equity, and management consulting.
  • Experience with US middle market M&A is a requirement. Preference towards those with investment experience across technology and services subsectors.
  • Previous experience working in operating companies alongside senior management is a plus.

  • Strong analytical skills, understanding of financial statements, financial modeling, and data analysis.

Compensation and Benefits
  • $150-200k base salary range.
  • Significant bonus, profit share, and carried interest opportunity.
  • Compensation and bonus are commensurate with experience, performance and/or firm profitability.
