Financial Controller

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and treasury functions.
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Develop and maintain financial reporting packages for executive leadership.
• Analyze financial results and provide recommendations to improve performance and profitability.

• Manage all aspects of cost accounting, including standard costing, product costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, labor efficiency, material usage, and production variances.
• Monitor inventory controls and ensure accurate inventory accounting.
• Partner with operations leadership to improve manufacturing performance and cost management.
• Review bills of materials (BOMs), work orders, and production reporting for financial accuracy.
• Support pricing strategies through product cost analysis and margin reporting.

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Develop financial models and operational forecasts.
• Monitor actual results against budget and identify key performance drivers.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to support business objectives.

• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate annual audits and act as the primary contact for external auditors.
• Oversee tax reporting support and compliance activities.

• Manage and mentor accounting and finance team members.
• Establish departmental goals, performance expectations, and professional development plans.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
• Partner with operations, supply chain, purchasing, and leadership teams to drive business performance.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing accounting teams.
• Significant experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
