Financial Manager, Financial Analyst
Cooper Douglas is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a nationally recognized distribution and services organization with more than $10 billion in annual revenue. The company is seeking a Regional Finance Director to support a large-scale operating region and serve as a key business partner to executive leadership.
This position offers a unique opportunity to influence business strategy, drive financial performance, and support operational decision‑making across a complex, multi‑site environment. The Regional Finance Director will work closely with senior leaders to provide financial insights, identify growth opportunities, and help execute initiatives that improve profitability and operational effectiveness.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on finance leader who enjoys partnering with the business, simplifying complex financial information, and delivering actionable recommendations that drive results.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with regional and executive leadership to support strategic and operational decision‑making
- Lead the annual budget, monthly forecast, and long‑range planning processes
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support revenue growth, margin improvement, and overall business performance
- Develop financial models and business cases for investments, strategic initiatives, and operational improvements
- Analyze business performance through KPI reporting, trend analysis, and forecasting
- Monitor sales performance, pricing, margins, operating expenses, and productivity metrics to identify opportunities and risks
- Collaborate with operations, sales, supply chain, and corporate finance teams to support business objectives
- Present financial results, forecasts, and recommendations during regular business reviews with senior leadership
- Perform variance analysis and identify key drivers impacting financial performance
- Support capital planning and resource allocation decisions
- Improve reporting processes, forecasting accuracy, and analytical capabilities
- Utilize business intelligence and reporting tools to enhance visibility and support data‑driven decision‑making
- Build strong cross‑functional relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- MBA, CPA, or other advanced certification is a plus
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, FP&A, commercial finance, or operational finance
- Experience supporting large, complex, multi‑location organizations
- Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business analysis
- Proven ability to partner with operational leaders and influence strategic decisions
- Ability to communicate financial concepts effectively to non‑financial stakeholders
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power Point
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics platforms preferred
- Strong presentation skills and executive presence
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment
- Experience with in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, industrial services, consumer products, or other operationally driven industries preferred
- Annual Bonus: 25%
