Overview
We are partnering with a leading $70B+ alternative asset manager to hire a VP of Tax for its private capital investment platform — a highly visible, growth-oriented role with a sophisticated tax team you will lead.
You will play a hands-on role in fund structuring, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic tax planning, while gaining exposure to sophisticated differentiated capital investors.
You will have the opportunity to design and scale tax processes for a growing investment platform, collaborating closely with senior leadership, investment teams, and external advisors.
This company offers the prestige of a large, multinational firm with the exposure and growth opportunities of a close-knit team.
What you will do- True deal exposure — partner directly with investment and private capital investment teams on structuring acquisitions, dispositions, and financings
- Strategic impact — lead compliance and tax-efficient structuring across a sophisticated portfolio
- Broad technical scope — oversee U.S. and international compliance across multi-tiered fund structures
- Investor-facing responsibility — manage reporting and inquiries with precision and credibility
- Platform influence — improve and automate tax processes
- Direct visibility to senior leadership within a fast-moving, performance-driven culture
This is not a back-office compliance seat — it’s a role for someone who wants to influence transactions, operate with autonomy, and grow alongside a rapidly expanding business.
The firm offers strong compensation, meaningful upside, and a collaborative culture where tax has a seat at the table.
Requirements- 10+ years of partnership tax experience from public accounting and/or related financial services experience (Private Equity experience is REQ)
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong technology skills (ie. Alteryx, Tableau, Power Query and Power BI experience)
