Assistant Corporate Controller

• Manage the consolidation framework across a matrixed organization, overseeing intercompany loan structures, capital allocations, and equity tracking for subsidiary business units and unique investment ventures.
• Drive the execution, accuracy, and timely completion of the month‑end and year‑end closing cycles at both the consolidated parent and individual business unit levels.
• Maintain governance over the chart of accounts and strengthen the internal control environment to guarantee absolute integrity across all corporate and subsidiary financial statements.
• Evaluate, implement, and optimize cloud‑based accounting software and automated tools to maximize departmental throughput and eliminate manual risks.
• Act as a central point of contact and collaborative partner to individual business unit accountants and peer financial controllers across distinct corporate divisions.
• Spearhead the preparation and management of the annual year‑end audit process alongside external accounting partners.

  Experience:
  
  Upwardly mobile accounting background featuring direct experience managing people and fostering a collaborative team environment. Must demonstrate high adaptability to changing business priorities.
• Target Sector Profile:
  Highly prefer candidates with direct experience working within Private Equity (PE) partnerships, asset management, or operating within a PE‑backed portfolio environment. Experience managing small, entrepreneurial business units is a significant plus.
• Public Accounting Foundations: A background in public accounting/audit and a CPA designation are strongly preferred. Candidates looking to transition straight out of public accounting will be valued if they possess deep exposure to asset management clients and complex entity consolidations.
• Systems & Technical Acumen:
  Proven mastery of complex, multi‑tiered corporate consolidations is required. Practical experience working with Net Suite or equivalent enterprise cloud ERPs is highly advantageous.
• Communication Style:
  Outstanding organizational and communication skills, with a proven ability to present clearly to executive leadership and coordinate across separate business entities.
